A complete website redesign and replatform to support Eden Brae Homes’ business growth, enhance the user experience, and better reflect their position as one of the largest volume home builders in New South Wales known for innovation and quality.

The brief

Eden Brae Homes (EBH) is one of Australia’s leading home builders in NSW, recognised for innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. With a rapidly growing portfolio and continually evolving business needs, their digital presence was in need of a refresh to better reflect their ambition.

The EBH team saw an opportunity to enhance their digital presence in a way that would align more closely with the seamless, customer-first experience they deliver in person. The aim was to create an online journey that supported and complemented the offline sales and build process – making it easier for users to explore options, access key information, and engage with the brand across devices.

As EBH’s offerings and customer expectations evolved, so did the need for a more flexible and scalable website. They required ways to streamline content delivery, improve mobile responsiveness, and empower internal teams with tools that would simplify their day-to-day.

Tundra was engaged as EBH’s digital partner to reimagine their online presence. The goal: to deliver a new website that feels as premium as the homes they build; while ensuring the platform is fast, flexible, and future-proofed.

What we did

We approached the project holistically – redesigning from the ground up.

A new information architecture (IA) was developed to make categorising and navigating home design details intuitive for users. We expanded the EBH brand into a flexible, consistent digital design system, and replatformed to Craft CMS for its stability and scalability.

How we did it

To bring the new EBH digital experience to life, we followed a collaborative and strategic process across design, development, and delivery.

Discovery + Strategy

We kicked off the project with stakeholder workshops, a best-practice content audit, and user experience review to build a clear picture of both user needs and internal business goals. This phase focused on understanding EBH’s diverse audience types – from first home buyers to experienced investors – and mapping their journeys through the website. We also explored key product categories and the pathways users take to navigate them, ensuring the future experience would support intuitive discovery, decision-making, and conversion. These insights became the foundation for a user-centred, strategically aligned digital approach.

User Experience + IA

The new site structure was built around clearly defined primary and secondary audience segments, so the new IA mirrors every stage of the customer journey – from casual browsing, to detailed comparison, to making contact online or finding a display home.

Navigation labels, page flows, and content groupings were all designed to align with these decision points, allowing visitors to find the right home design or house‑and‑land package in fewer clicks while giving sales consultants the same up‑to‑date details, and customisation controls to use during face‑to‑face conversations. The result is a seamless, consistent experience that bridges digital self-guided research and in‑person engagement, ensuring key information and service quality are maintained across channels.

Design + Prototyping

We translated the Eden Brae brand into a clean, contemporary digital interface – using modern UI elements such as streamlined navigation, mobile-first layouts, accessible typography, and intuitive interaction patterns.

A scalable design system was developed to ensure consistency across all pages, sections and future content. A full component library was developed to support scalable UI patterns, speed up production, and ensure ongoing consistency for the brand post site launch. High-fidelity prototypes allowed the EBH team to experience key user flows early in the process, enabling fast exploration, collaborative feedback and decision-making before moving into development.

Development + Replatforming

The project included a replatform to Craft CMS, which offers the EBH team a highly flexible and intuitive content management system.

Site speed and performance were front and centre – optimised images, clean code, and a lean architecture underpin the platform build. Forms were built using the Formie plugin by Verbb and connected to Pardot form handlers, while REA and Domain integrations were retained with CMS-level controls.

The site was developed with a focus on delivering real operational value to EBH. A key differentiator was in the way the content management was structured. Rather than relying on rigid templates, we built reusable, modular components powered by a clean, centralised CMS structure.

Many page layouts across the website are generated dynamically based on the content provided, reducing manual effort and ensuring consistency. This approach strikes a true balance between flexibility and efficiency – giving content managers the freedom to update and publish pages quickly, while maintaining brand and UX integrity across the site.

The new site adheres to WCAG 2.1 standards, making it more inclusive and accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities or circumstances.

These enhancements not only streamline content management but also empower internal teams to work more efficiently – enabling faster updates, reducing reliance on technical support, and creating more space for content production and campaign management.

Testing + QA

We translated the Eden Brae brand into a clean, contemporary digital interface In-depth performance, usability, and accessibility testing ensured the site met high standards across all devices, browsers, and user types ahead of launch. Just as importantly, our testing process was designed to reflect how Eden Brae Homes would use and manage the site long-term. This included testing core content workflows, form submissions, and third-party integrations to ensure internal teams could confidently manage, update, and scale the site post-launch – without additional technical overhead.

Launch + Optimisation

We delivered a seamless handover with documentation, training, and post-launch support to help the EBH team manage the cutover and hit the ground running from day one. Early performance results show major gains in speed, usability, and engagement across the platform, setting the EBH team up for success.

Impact of the work

The redesigned EBH website is more than a facelift – it’s a complete digital transformation that brings endless benefits to their customers, their suppliers and their internal teams. It now serves as both a powerful marketing tool and a reliable resource for the sales team. With faster load times, a seamless mobile experience, and a robust CMS, EBH is positioned to scale their digital strategy well into the future.

"Tundra transforms complexity into clarity, building digital experiences that help brands move faster, stand out, and scale."
