What is the Starter Website Package?

Some businesses don’t require an intensive custom website project. In a lot of cases you just need a great-looking, well-built website that's professional, branded, easy to manage, and ready to launch quickly.

Our Starter Websites are fixed-scope, fixed-price websites built by our team, powered by Craft CMS, and custom-styled to your brand. You get a professionally engineered website without the complexity or cost of a fully bespoke project.

It’s considered a smart middle ground: more professional and flexible than a DIY platform like Squarespace, and more accessible and faster-to-market than a full custom build.

How it works

We've designed this product to be as straightforward as possible. Here's what to expect:

  1. 1.Kick off

    You complete a short intake form covering your brand assets and the pages you need. We'll schedule a brief kick-off call to make sure we have everything we need, and for full alignment on the process and project outcomes.

  2. 2.We build

    Our team sets up your Craft CMS environment, applies your custom brand styles to our component library, and builds out your standard pages. This typically takes 2-3 weeks, and includes one round of ‘look and feel’ design review.

  3. 3.You test

    We share a staging link so you can test the build, with a dedicated window for any bug resolution. Testing is done with placeholder, sample content.

  4. 4.Content goes in

    If you've purchased the Content Entry add-on, we enter your supplied content. Otherwise, we hand over the CMS for you to build out your pages.

  5. 5.We go live

    We handle DNS configuration, final checks, and launch. We'll also provide a CMS manual so you're confident in managing your site ongoing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Once your site is live, you can add as many content pages as you like using the 14 components included. If you need a new page type or custom template beyond the standard set, that would be quoted and implemented separately.

We'll give you a content deadline as part of the project timeline. We can begin the build with brand assets and finalise content entry once it's ready. The ultimate go-live date will depend on content being supplied.

Yes. Although not include in the base package, if you'd rather hand that off to us, our Content Entry Add-On covers your core pages and up to 10 blog articles for a flat fee. Just supply your content in final form, by the deadline and we'll take care of the rest. Additional pages and articles can also be added at an agreed rate.

No. Craft CMS is designed to be highly intuitive, and we will provide a CMS manual so you're confident in managing your site. We also be available to provide content entry advice during the first 30 days post-launch.

Your Craft CMS site is fully extensible. When you're ready to grow, we can add custom features, integrations, or entirely new sections managed as a separate project.

Craft Cloud hosting is managed and billed directly by Craft (starting from USD $59/month). We help you set it up and ongoing management of the account is handed over to you.

E-commerce is outside the scope of the Starter Package. We'd recommend discussing a custom project quote for that, as it's a meaningful addition that deserves proper planning.
